Welcome
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and learn about the medical ministry that God has given to us in Togo, West Africa. Our mission began the medical ministry in Tsiko, Togo in 1984. The Karolyn Kempton Medical Center was established in the south of the country and God has used this ministry to draw thousands to Himself. Patients travel from all over Togo and surrounding countries to have their medical needs met. God brings these individuals to us and we share the Good News of Jesus Christ with each patient.
Moving North
Because of our reputation of excellent health care in our southern hospital, we have been invited by the officials in Mango, Togo to start a new hospital in the north. Mango is a town of over 45,000 people who suffer without health care and die with out the knowledge of the ultimate price that Christ paid on the cross to give us eternal life. We have an opportunity to be agents of Hope in the region of Mango. We are establishing the Wendell Kempton Medical and Ministry Center. It is known in Togo as the Hospital of Hope. God is raising the funds, the personnel, and the future staff to build and staff this new hospital. Our family is amongst the first of the career medical missionaries heading to Mango.
Kokovi’s story
Kokovi came to our hospital after being hit by a car. He had multiple open bilateral leg fractures. A lot of time and effort was spent to help Kokovi. He had 6 separate trips to the operating room and months and months of dressing and cast changes. Through his hospital stay he struggled greatly with depression because his serious disability. God used this time to open Kokovi’s eyes to his spiritual needs. Our hospital chaplain consistently opened God’s Word with Kokovi. One day he made the decision to accept the perfect gift of salvation through Jésus Christ. Upon his discharge from our hospital Kokovi was walking well with crutches…more importantly he was walking with his Savior who brought Kokovi real healing.
